In October 2024, home sales in the Greater Toronto Area increased strongly year-over-year in October 2024. Over the same period, new listings were up, but by a lesser annual rate. The result was tighter market conditions compared to October 2023. The average selling price was up slightly on an annual basis.
TRREB market statistics reported 6,658 home sales in the GTA during the month, 44.4% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
The average selling price in the GTA increase 1.1% to $1.14 million, Compared to September of this year, prices have remained relatively stable. The days on market is 27, remaining unchanged compared to September this year.
The number of newly listed homes during the month was 15,328, resulting in a sales-to-new listings ratio of a buyer-favored 43.4%.
